Coffee Atlas
Understand coffee workers struggles, hopes, and the social and climate challenges they face.
About This Course
Coffee is people before all. Coffee Atlas maps the human, social, and ecological systems that make coffee possible — from its colonial past to its uncertain future. This is not a course about origins as marketing slogans. It is a course about people, migrations, land, politics, climate, and how these forces shape what ends up in the cup. You will explore coffee-growing regions through the lens of history, power, and resistance: how coffee moved with empire, how it was forced upon some lands and nurtured in others, and how climate shifts today are reshaping these maps. We will look at land rights, migration, rural labor, and the realities behind certifications, origin stories, and traceability programs. Beyond the political, you will also gain practical skills: how to read a coffee region’s production systems, identify environmental risks, and build respectful, resilient trade partnerships. This is a course for farmers, roasters, baristas, trainers, and anyone who wants to engage origin with more honesty and deeper solidarity. In-person, you will join 3 full days of lectures, group discussions, climate mapping workshops, and Soul, Ritual & Aesthetic sessions. Online, you will join five 4.5-hour live sessions with real-time translation, practical exercises, and community reflection. 👉 Pricing Online: Sustainable €300 | Group Sustainable €400 | Solidarity €0–300 | Supporter: Sustainable + €200 In-person: Sustainable €500 | Group Sustainable €350 | Solidarity €50–300 | Supporter: Sustainable + €300 If you want to read the world through coffee — reserve your spot today.
