The Quindio region is the heart of Colombian coffee growing. Colombia is the third largest producer of coffee and the largest producer of washed coffee in the world. It's a must-see destination for anyone who works and loves coffee. And if you look at the results of the recent World Coffee Championship competition, you'll also notice that it's a country that produces some of the best specialty coffees on the globe, not inferior in quality to Panama, Costa Rica, or Ethiopia with their ubiquitous gesha. It is also a country of farmers brave enough to experiment with the coffee processing.
