ORIGIN TRIP:
THE COFFEE CAMP
It's not just a course. Not just a trip.
It’s a meeting. A movement.
An opportunity.

Meet Sandra Arias Gómez, our partner and guide in Quindío. We’ve been building a cooperation since 2019.
The Coffee Camp Experience
We regularly invite you to join us on a farm — in Colombia or elsewhere — for a 10-day experience where learning, creating, and relaxing happen side by side.
These are not classroom courses.
These are gatherings in the spirit of a folk university: open to all, shaped by shared knowledge, held on the land where coffee grows.
You’ll live to the rhythm of the harvest.
Pick fruit. Roast and taste coffee with locals.
Make friends — maybe even business partners.
Dance. Cook. Rest.
Learn how the world works — and how it could work better.
And yes: you can come on a Pay-It-Forward basis — as someone helping, or someone receiving help.
Who Is It For?

People come to Coffee Camp for all kinds of reasons.
Some come to learn, some to rest, some to start something new.
We don’t divide you by role or experience.
We meet together — on the land — and learn from each other.
01
For everyone
You don’t need experience. You don’t need a title. If you care about coffee, people, or the planet — you belong here.
03
For those needing pause
You’re tired. Disconnected. Looking for meaning. This isn’t a only a vacation — but it might be a turning point.
02
For those just starting
Maybe you’ve never picked a cherry, roasted a batch, or tasted fermented coffee. That’s perfect. This is your entry point.
04
For coffee pros
Baristas, roasters, green buyers, farmers — here you’ll create your own nano-lot, test new ideas, or just reset in community.

Where It Happens
We usually organize Coffee Camp at Finca El Porvenir in Quindío, Colombia —
just outside the town of Armenia, surrounded by mountains, forests, and a swimming pool right on the farm.
You’ll sleep near the fields. Wake up to the sound of pickers and parrots. Share meals on the porch. Roast and cup coffee right where it’s grown.
And yes — you can float in the pool after a hot day on the drying beds.
This isn’t just a location.
It’s a rhythm. A space for learning, rest, and renewal.

What to Expect
Every Coffee Camp is different — shaped by the harvest, the people, and the land.
But most of them include these five elements:

Field Learning
You’ll take part in real farm work: picking, sorting, fermenting, drying, roasting, cupping.
Let's make your own nano-lot of green coffee — and take it home.
Cultural Immersion
From tinto mornings in town to dancing with your hosts, you’ll meet the daily rhythm of Colombian life. You’ll taste, listen, and walk with people who live this work.
Shared Reflection
Evenings are slower. We gather, talk, and ask questions.
You’ll hear honest stories — and maybe share your own by the fire.
Rest & Ritual
Swim. Watch the fog roll over the hills.
Cook with friends. Take space for yourself.
This is work, yes — but it’s also recovery and care.
The Better Coffee Standard, in action
We don’t teach the Standard in PowerPoint slides. You’ll feel it — in how we learn, live, and decide things together. This is mutual aid in practice — not top-down training.
