This license is for Places working with coffee before roasting — as berry, parchment, or green bean. It includes farms, cooperatives, fermentation stations, exporters, and any site active in cultivation, harvest, or post-harvest production.
 
The Green License helps you apply The Better Coffee Standard during the most vulnerable stages of coffee’s journey — when risk is high and recognition is rare. It supports ecological care, fair negotiation, and value protection at origin.
 
By choosing the Supporter Tier, you do more than join The Places. You directly fund access for others — through the Pay-It-Forward Fund, you help producers, educators, and cooperatives in structurally disadvantaged regions license their work with dignity.
 
With the Supporter Tier, you receive:
Full access to The Better Coffee Standard and Green license documentation
The right to operate as The Place [Your Name] or [Your Location]
Branding, language, and identity tools to communicate your work with clarity
Participation in value-aligned trade, sourcing relationships, and educational storytelling
Inclusion in system-wide campaigns, events, and collaborative offers
Access to The Places internal network — shared tools, peers, and strategic alignment
Administrative support from our core team — including legal and operational guidance
Shared pricing models, contract templates, and solidarity-based business tools
Trust-based audits after 3 years (or sooner if needed/requested)
Opportunities to exchange knowledge, organize events, and co-host trainings
Labor and know-how sharing across The Places — agronomy, QC, language, logistics
Equal standing in the network — no hierarchy, no HQ. Each Place defines its path while honoring The Standard
